Simon Fry is a qualified and talented teacher and former deputy head. He has been a local government officer, a voluntary sector manager and a Children’s Centre manager who started out as a playworker in Camden and Islington. He has considerable experience of both rural and inner urban settings as a teacher and Play Association manager. Simon has been a Director at Green Strand from the start, bringing with him excellent business planning and financial management skills and an impressive record of working positively and successfully with OFSTED and local authorities.

Azeema Caffoor is a qualified and innovative youth worker with experience of both inner-urban and small town settings. She has worked in both the voluntary and statutory sector, in schools and in Children’s Centres. Her work has included finding funding for, and developing, “youth cafés”, young peoples’ small business start-ups, youth councils, “young peoples’ markets”, integrated children’s play services and, in particular, work with young people with disabilities and learning difficulties. Azeema has worked for environmental agencies, linking community and youth work with “green” initiatives and run her own catering business.

Steve Macarthur, co-founder of Green Stand, has a master’s degree in urban planning studies and a reputation as an innovative and talented grants and fundraising specialist and as a developer of social enterprises. He was the founding Chair of the charity London Play. He conceived and created a groundbreaking centre for disabled children, funded and built an award winning hydrotherapy pool, has created several adventure playgrounds and a proto Children’s Centre (conceived and built before they became a government led initiative). Steve is a former Reseach Associate with the think tank New Policy Institute. He somehow finds the time to manage a large West Country music venue, the Frome Cheese and Grain.

Wilf Swann is an up and coming digital designer based in the South West. A graduate of the acclaimed Falmouth University Graphic Design course, Wilf has gone on to work for international clients such as Hauser & Worth Galleries and the National Museum of Scotland. He specialises in innovative digital design solutions, primarily responsive websites for medium sized businesses and charity organisations. A multi-discipline designer, Wilf combines his knowledge of web, branding, print and animation to provide bespoke outcomes to his clients diverse needs.
